Jose Hopkins ACA

Jose is a subject matter expert who works closely with ACCA and ICAEW on various sustainability and ESG topics focusing on climate risks and employee productivity and wellbeing. His passion is to help organisations navigate the speed of change in mandatory and voluntary Sustainability and ESG reporting regulations, and to help promote wellbeing and productivity at the workplace. Jose's extensive experience in building and training internal sustainability and ESG teams, as well as preparing TCFD/ESG risk assessment, climate transition plans and related reports, makes him a valuable asset to any company looking to improve their ESG practices. With a proven track record of working with some of the biggest companies in the world, including Minera Escondida, Syngenta, Infinis, Trainline, Virgin Group, and KAZ Minerals, Jose's expertise in risk assessments can help your company achieve its sustainability goals.

Bindi is an experienced professional in financial analysis, investment management, and project management with over 7 years of experience. She is CIMA qualified and a PMP (PMI) certified professional with hands-on experience in managing ESG projects, financial and management accounting, corporate finance, due diligence, KYC, and investor relationship management. She has excelled at renowned firms like Ernst & Young LLP and LOLC Holdings PLC with her engagement in successful mergers and acquisitions, investor negotiations, and implementing ESG policies and projects. Her passion to give back to society combined with her attention to detail, and customer-centric approach, makes her dedicated to delivering outstanding results in the realm of ESG services.

Kabir is an individual who is extremely passionate on creating positive societal impact. He has multiple years experience working in external audit and sustainability at a Big 4 accountancy firm, where he has worked in sectors such as retail, oil & gas, property, consumer health and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, he has experience working with sustainability reporting frameworks, including TCFD and CSRD, to help companies navigate these regulations.

Dr Marta Santamaria

Marta has 20+ years of experience in assessing the value provided by nature, people, and society to inform and transform decision making. Marta has worked extensively in the transformation of several economic sectors, including the energy, food, built environment and finance sector. Previously, she was Senior Director at the Capitals Coalition, where she was leading and advancing approaches to measure and value impacts and dependencies on nature, people and society. She has been advising several leading organizations, including the Taskforce on Nature-related financial Disclosures (TNFD), Science-based Targets Network (SBTN), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Impact Management Platform (IMP), the G7 Impact Taskforce, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Value Accounting Network (VAN).

Marlou Cornelissen

Marlou has over a decade of experience in creating positive impact in the social sector. She transitioned out of the CEO role of global charity (QS) World Merit where she managed strategic partnerships with, eg. the United Nations, positively impacting 450,000 people annually. Through this work and building the foundation blocks for Period Reality, she has established a vast network, based on often deep, personal relationships with people committed to supporting Period Reality’s work. These relationships range from people representing companies like Google and PwC, but also institutions like the WHO and NASA and large social entrepreneurship networks like the Skoll Foundation and Opportunity Collaboration. She has spoken at some of the most prestigious global venues, including the British House of Parliament, the United Nations Headquarters, and the Vatican. She holds a Master’s degree in Health, Economics, Policy and Law from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam.

Dr Christopher Whittle PHD, MBA

Christopher has extensive senior management experience having held positions of CEO and Executive Director of companies in South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. In addition, he has consulted, trained and coached senior executives for more than 20 years across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Indian subcontinent. Christopher is an approved trainer and member of the elite consulting panel for the Institute of Risk Management South Africa. Christopher is currently involved in ESG advisory work in Malawi, South Africa, Seychelles, Mauritius and the UAE. Academically Christopher is contracted with the University of Pretoria as a supervisor and senior researcher in the School for Public Management and Administration to assist students on the Master of Public Administration programme. Christopher’s PhD research centred around the critical success factors for enterprise risk maturity.
